Gladstone Capital is a specialty finance company that invests in debt securities consisting primarily of senior term loans, senior  subordinated loans and junior subordinated loans in small and  medium sized companies. We target businesses that meet our criteria, including the potential for growth, adequate assets for loan collateral, experienced management teams with significant ownership in the business, adequate capitalization, profitable operations based on cash flow and potential opportunities for us to realize appreciation and gain liquidity in our equity position. Loan amounts vary from $5 Million to $20 million and can be repaid over 5 years.

Gladstone Capital operates as a closed-end, non-diversified management investment company and has elected to be treated as a business development company under the Investment Company Act of 1940.

Gladstone Capital also offers long term preferred stock under the NYSE trading symbol GLADPRA.

Our goal is to pay shareholders dividends on a monthly basis. Our objective is to increase the amount of dividends paid out each year.

We have two affiliate companies that also invest in small and medium sized businesses. Gladstone Commercial Corporation  invests in real estate and Gladstone Investment Corporation makes equity-type investments.
